In the African country Sudan, in the Darfur states, the corrupt Sudanese government allows genocide. RIGHT NOW women and young African children are murdered because the government wants to destroy their tribes! It is the MOST troubled part of the world with over 300,000 people who have been killed! This website was a fundraiser done with UNICEF two years ago and now there is a movie script being promoted to make a feature-length film about Darfur and the terror these people endure everyday. We invite any and all workers in the film industry to inquire within and request a copy of the WGA-registered full-length script. The logline: "After serving as an aid worker in Darfur, an American martial artist dreaming of change goes on a spiritual journey with his African-American friend to show the entire world what's happening in this tragic part of Africa."

SLAVERY, GENOCIDE, STILL HAPPENING TODAY IN 2009??!!
That’s right, it is. In the African country Sudan, particularly the Darfur states, the corrupt Sudanese government still allows Africans to be sold as slaves! Ethnic cleansing occurs RIGHT NOW as women and young African children are murdered because the government wants to drive out all Black Africans!!! So far over 500,000 people have been killed since 1980!! Now over 2 million people have been displaced due to the burning of villages and rape of young women by the Janjaweed, an evil militia supported by Sudan's President!! America that once fought so hard her own freedom cannot allow this injustice for anyone else in the world!!! I ask all Americans to help drive out these evil terrorists running Sudan. It could be our children murdered over there, except we luck out and live in a country that protects our freedom. That's the only difference. We are the greatest superpower in the world, and now we will show we are the most compassionate too. How can you help?
VICTIMS OF SUDANS GENOCIDE

RUN FOR SUDAN TO RAISE $3 MILLION IN AID MONEY!!!
Starting Sunday of August 20 of 2006 to Saturday of September 2, 2006, Ryan Gilbert and Thomas Whalen, two college students, will trek across New England to raise money for Sudan, particularly the Darfur region that has experienced the greatest amount of genocide in the last couple of years. The 300 Mile Run/March will begin in Lowell, MA and end in New York City. They will make many stops along the way to speak and let others know about what's happening in Sudan. People who wish to join are welcome. About 21 miles a day will be covered and there will be a combination of running and walking. At the finale in Times Square they will meet with Simon Deng, a former Sudanese slave who now is a political icon for all of Sudan and has spoken at United Nation summits. Simon has already done his own 300 March which can be viewed at sudanwalk.iabolish.com. You won't miss Ryan; he'll be running (and walking) with an American flag high in the air showing we as Americans will not tolerate genocide in our world.

The goal of this event is to raise awareness of the actions of the corrupt Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir for not stopping the murders of the non-Arabic African people of Sudan, particularly the state of Darfur which has been a major recent target. We are also raising $3 MILLION TO GIVE AID TO SUDAN'S CHILDREN DYING FROM LACK OF FOOD AND WATER DUE TO THE GENOCIDE! We want to raise a dollar for every person affected in Sudan, that's $3 Million!!!

WHERE DOES THE MONEY GO?
All money donated goes to Sudan's people, especially the children, to help them survive shortages of food and water due to genocide by the corrupt Sudanese government. Funds are given directly to www.unicefusa.org, the United Nation's headquarters for World Aid. The donations are tax deductible and given to this human right's branch of the UN where volunteers overseas give aid to dying children every day.

If only 1 out of every 100 people in the country donated only $1 to help end this genocide, that's $3 million raised! We believe it can be done. While there is poverty and disaster that happens all over the world, this is the only country today with cited evidence of ethnic cleansing that in 2004 Colin Powell, US Secretary of State, in claimed to be genocide.

The actions of the American people will show Congress and the White House that Americans are not content with a genocide-free America, but will only be content with a genocide-free world. It happened in Rwanda years ago, and now it's happening in Sudan. So please, give whatever you can and prove to Sudan, the most troubled country of Africa, we won't allow its non-Arabic people to be wiped out like animals.

Thank You:
Ryan Gilbert here folks; I have to recognize the people that made this event possible that in turn will create the opportunity for other nation-wide fundraisers for the domestic areas in the US and global sectors of the world. Here they are:

First and foremost Tom Whalen; Tom, without your guidance and participation RunForSudan would not have raised the funds or helped save the lives it did. You encouraged me to not give up even when we were unsure of whether or not it would be the success it was. Also, I must thank Tom’s parents Jack and Robin for showing me the unbelievable hospitality they did, it is greatly appreciated. In turn I thank my parents Tim and LeeAnne for all their support, Britney for my Dunkin Donut runs, Courtney for doing all the miserable blogger work, and Brendan for car decoration ideas. To Justin Arsenault and his services of Mindrave Group donated the fantastic website that has been so well strategically set up. Justin also outlined the car in detail of its setup, which was done wonderfully by Sign-A-Rama of Marlborough, MA. To Bill Rahall's ZZ Flags & Signs of Townsend, MA for giving me the flag used on our pole. To Andy Marchese for his glorious invention of the "vest" that was finalized by my father and viewed by God knows how many thousands of people on the streets. To Pat Cook for hooking me up with the Lowell Sun to get the ball rolling – You’re the man Pat! To Mike and Kate for listening to my never-ending worries about the whole event. I'd like to thank the following for donations to the campaign: The Hamms, Gilberts, Littleton Pools of Littleton, MA, Bonfilios, Nelsons, Demmings, Kellys, Spizckas, Rooneys, Frenchs, Bessos, Cooneys, Cavallaros, and the Morgans your donations were pivotal to the success of this event. I'd also like to thank my parents again for the celebration at the end and my aunts and cousins and friends the DiTullios for coming. And always thank you to God; it is he who makes all acts of selflessness possible and gives me the strength to fight for all my children needing help in the world.
